  • Those Who Kill: Season 1, Episode 2
  • Hannibal: Season 2, Episode 3
  • Helix: Season 1, Episode 11
  • The Walking Dead: Season 4, Episode 14
  • Revenge: Season 3, Episode 15
  • Once Upon a Time: Season 3, Episode 13
  • The Following: Season 2, Episode 9
  • Bates Motel: Season 2, Episode 3
  • Star-Crossed: Season 1, Episode 5

  • Up (2009)
  • Insidious: Chapter 2 (2013)

So, let's start with the TV shows.

Believe: S01, E01

 E02

The most important thing in life is happiness, but happiness always stems from hope. This week's episode included another touching story of Bo's generosity and her affect in other's lives. Those who want her back are still chasing her, Tate does whatever he can to keep her safe, another assassin is after them and a bit of a surprise happens near the end. Good episode overall, I'm liking it so far!

Those Who Kill: S01, E02
So I was semi right about one thing in particular last week when predicting what might have happened in Catherine's past. Her step-father isn't the 'great man' as he is seen to be, a new killer is on the loose, Catherine is suffering from severe depression and her job is on the line. It's up to Schaeffer to decide if he should lie to the board or tell the truth and cost her her career.

Am I liking it? Not entirely, I'm still on the fence. Something about this show is 'missing' and I'm leaning toward it being not liking the characters, I don't find any of them likeable. Still, I will continue watching but may stop at some point. Hopefully it gets better.

Hannibal: S02, E03
"Not only is justice blind, it's mindless and heartless."
Yikes. With Will on his trial, a 'new' killer is presenting themself using similar techniques and killings as Willwell, Hannibalto help Will with his case. Who he can count on and trust is tested and his doubt and suspicion of Hannibal is still on his mind. Hannibal, on the other hand, shows signs of loneliness and misses his friend as he sits alone on his chair in his office. Justice is served in this episode, but no human is served, if you know what I mean.

Helix: S01, E11
"Did someone say, Cure?"
Damn! Another good episode of Helix. A cure has been found, the Vectors are evolving and becoming a lot smarter, some return from the dead, Ilaria's most dangerous assassin arrives at their doorstep, a plan backfires and the 500 adds a new addition, perhaps a new immortal. Things are heating up in the middle of the Arctic.

The Walking Dead: S04, E14
"Look at the Flowers, Lizzie."
Wow, such a powerful episode this week on The Walking Dead. It's based around Carol, Tyreese, Lizzie and Mika and their story. We come to understand Mika's character a little better and how she reminds Carol of her daugher Sophia, sharing similiarities of 'not having a single bad bone in their body' which can get them killed. A few predictable twists are revealed—ones that I called earlier on this season—but the ending surely is emotional and so powerful that you can feel for the characters. I wasn't a real fan of Carol in the beginning, but she is now becoming one of my loved characters. Amazing episode overall.

Revenge: S03, E15
"Amanda, you are going to be Taken."
After the most predictable ending last week, this week opens up with unlocking more about the past and sorting through problems. A Snow White and the Evil Queen vibe is seen during the moment of Emily's flashblack on the night before her father was taken away, Daniel has his own private investigator, Aiden helps Emily battle her blackouts and finds out what is causing them, Jack gets to know his mother a little better and Nolan and Victoria join forces to help Patrick. An okay episode overall and the ending is a bit of a twist. I'm just waiting for "Jack, Conrad is your father," then shit will hit the fan.

By judging from the promo of next week's episode, Emily could be facing her true identity getting out. If I'm to guess, I bet either Lydia leaked the photo of her to expose her or whatever happens is a part of her plan. We'll soon find out.

Once Upon a Time: S03, E13
Wicked VS Evil
I KNEW IT! Without spoiling too much, we find out who the Wicked Witch is and what she wants, along with finding out what happens to those who are captured by the flying monkeys in Storybrooke. Regina's character becomes more likeable and we see the relationship between her and Robin Hood, the beginning of a friendship between her and Emma and last, but definitely not least, we are semi surprised with the face of a returning character. I'm so glad they're back! A great episode overall like always.

The Following: S02, E09
"I'm back from the dead!"
WHAAAAAT? So much madness! The falling and rising of a cult, a psychopathic ex wife, the rebirth of Joe Carroll, an important message, an almost nude scene with Mikewhich Max seemed to like...reowand an ending that I wasn't expecting. This week's episode is all about coming back from the dead, you'll see why.

Bates Motel: S02, E03
Expect a twist at the end of this episode! About halfway I guessed it and I was right. It might be obvious to some, but a surprise for others. I won't say what it is, but it does explain certain things, that's all I'll say. Other than that, we see more of Norma's brother, Norman sees the girl at the checkout at Bradley's memorial on the beach, a stranger is overly friendly with Norma and Dylan warms up to Norma's brother to find out what happened between them. Great episode overall.

Star-Crossed: S01, E05
For this week's Star-Crossed, The Atrians attending the high school are given a taste of freedom and are able to explore the town, a human and an atrian 'get together', Roman finds a place his father wrote about, Grayson gets into some trouble and Emery helps him out, Drake is on a mission to expose the Black Cyper and one of the atrians has a crush on someone unexpected. Good episode overall, I'm glad the series is getting a little better.

Up (2009)
Up We Go!
Alright, so I never saw Up when it was first released or even a couple years after that, but either way I watched it this week and I thoroughly enjoyed it. And I'm not going to deny that during the first 10 minute mark when it shows his life and watch as he and his wife grow old together and never fulfil their dreams, I let go of a few built up tears. It was sad. But then it gets interesting.

Up is about a 78-year-old man who never achieved his dreams, nor did his wife. Where he lives is surrounded by buildings and builders who want his land, and due to an incident, he is sent to live in a home for the elderly. He made his wife a promise and sets out on a journey, tying thousands of balloons to his house and travelling through the clouds to South America. But a little surprise arrives at his front deck, a little boy named Russell. During their journey, they meet a giant endangered bird and the cutest dog. Trouble awaits them and it's up to Carl to decide whether his and his wife's dream is more important, or the life of a boy and a beautiful endangered bird.

It's a great movie with moments of laughs, smiles and even tears. Definitely recommend it to anyone!
8/10

Insidious: Chapter 2 (2013)
"I WILL TAKE YOUR SOUL."
I'm a huge fan of horror movies, and by horror, I mean creepy, disturbing horror, not 'loud-high-pitched-unnecessary-music-every-second' horror. The movie itself was okay, don't get me wrong, but the annoying, loud music whenever something happens or jumps out was a bit much. It's like the creators relied on that to scare people rather than having a sinister story. But other than that, and a cheesy ending and the dumbest moment of a character, it wasn't a bad film. And what was the dumbest moment you might ask? They figure out a non english sentence which is translated to 'Mother of Dead'. "What does it mean?" *facepalm*

The story continues on from the first one, however, it has two new evil spirits, not the creepy dude with the red face. Josh doesn't seem like his usual self and it's worring his wife. They move to his mother's house, the place where Josh was studied by a woman named Elise who was trying to help him and understand the spirital world. A spirit of a woman in white is seen around the house, haunting their family, and Josh keeps talking to someone who isn't there. It's up to his family and a few friends to help him and stop the evil present in their lives.

It had its moments of jump scares and it answered some questions in the first movie. I liked the way they travelled in the spiritual world in this one and showed us things we didn't understand in the first chapter. As for the ending, it was literally, "Oh.My.God." Seems like a third chapter might be possible.

6/10
